The Best Day Our Campers Have Ever Had!
We Live by this saying and strive to regularly provide the campers the best day they have ever had while at ECM
Full Day of Activities
While at Elks Camp Moore we provide a FULL day of activities and programming. From the moment campers wake up to the moment they go back to their cabins they have a fun day of activities and programs scheduled ranging from Swimming, Arts & Crafts, Music & Movement, Sports & Recreation and/or Nature & Science
Activity Groups
Camper and their counselor are assigned to a specific activity group. This group will include people they live with and others who are not in their cabins. This way campers are able to socialize with each other. These individual groups will travel together throughout the whole week.
Daily
Themes
Each day at camp is a little different. Are we dressing up as knights and princesses for a medieval dance to casting spells and playing Quidditch with Harry Potter? We could be making our way through a haunted house or having a visit from Santa in July! EVERY day is themed to ensure that we have the most fun. Lets's get ready to vote for the Best of the Best!
Evening Activities
Camp wouldn't be complete with S'mores and songs at the campfire, or showing off the latest dance moves at our end-of-camp dance. These larger nightly activities allow the entire camp population to come together and have fun all in one place.
Program Adaptation
Every activity we offer is adapted to suit each camper's individual abilities. Some groups will engage in full sports games, while others may focus on sensory play or enjoy quieter, more relaxed activities. No matter the camper's abilities, there will be appropriate adaptations and a group where they can thrive!
Independent Play
There is so much to choose from at camp but sometimes you just need time to do your own thing. Campers can choose to use our Sensory Room, Ball Pit Room, Recreational Building, Swings, Playgrounds, etc. These are activities areas the camper and counselors can do between programs and when campers need a break.
Camp Wide Programs
Although we have our main core activities who wouldn't want to perform at our very own ECM's Got Talent Show or winning tickets at the camp's Carnival? These additional programs that take place during the day allow the entire camp allow for variety in the schedule and also allow campers to choose between set activities such as smoothie making, water fights or even fort building.
Socialization
Camp is so much more than just activities and programs. ECM allows campers to develop social skills through real-life day-to-day scenarios that they can be supported to navigate through. Camp provides opportunities to make real connections and friendships with peers with similar interests and likes.
